Published: 2026-08-24T00:00:00.000Z · Updated: 2026-08-24T17:12:17.576Z

The RRB NTPC 10+2 UG Result 2026 has been declared for candidates who appeared in the first-stage Computer Based Test under CEN 07/2025. Railway Recruitment Boards are publishing the result through their respective regional websites, allowing candidates to check whether their roll number has been shortlisted for the second-stage CBT.

Latest Update – 24 August 2026: RRB NTPC Undergraduate CBT-1 result PDFs have started appearing on regional RRB websites. Shortlisted candidates are due to appear in CBT-2 on 17 September 2026. The individual scorecard/marks login is scheduled to become available from 26 August 2026 at 5:00 PM.

The recruitment covers 3,058 vacancies for four 10+2-level NTPC posts. Candidates should check the result only through the RRB selected during application because the merit list and cutoff are issued RRB-wise rather than as one common national result.

Result PDF and Scorecard Are Not the Same Thing

One of the most common sources of confusion after an RRB result is the difference between the shortlist PDF and the individual scorecard.

Result PDF

Individual Scorecard

Published by the concerned regional RRB.

Viewed through candidate login.

Usually contains roll numbers shortlisted for the next stage.

Shows candidate-specific marks or score details.

No password is normally required to search the PDF.

Registration/login credentials are required.

Useful for checking CBT-2 shortlisting immediately.

Useful for understanding your individual performance.

If your RRB result PDF is available but the marks login is not yet active, that does not mean the result is incomplete. The scorecard has a separate activation schedule.

How to Check RRB NTPC 10+2 UG Result 2026

  1. Open the official website of the RRB you selected while submitting CEN 07/2025.

  2. Find the notice for NTPC Undergraduate CBT-1 result / shortlisting for CBT-2.

  3. Open the result PDF.

  4. Use Ctrl + F on a computer, or the PDF search option on your phone.

  5. Enter your roll number exactly as printed on the admit card.

  6. If the roll number is listed, you have been provisionally shortlisted for CBT-2.

  7. Save the result PDF for future reference.

Tip: Search using the roll number. A name search may not work because regional result PDFs are commonly published as lists of shortlisted roll numbers.

How to Check the RRB NTPC UG Score Card

The individual marks/scorecard facility is scheduled to open on 26 August 2026 at 5:00 PM. Once the link becomes active, open the official candidate login, enter the required registration details, view the marks and save a copy for your record.

RRB NTPC UG Cut Off 2026 – Why There Is No Single Cutoff

There is no one cutoff that applies to every candidate across India. The actual shortlisting threshold can change according to the chosen RRB, post/category number, reservation category, available vacancies and normalized performance.

  • RRB selected during application

  • Post/category number

  • UR, EWS, OBC-NCL, SC or ST category

  • Ex-servicemen or PwBD status, where applicable

  • RRB-wise vacancy position

  • Normalized CBT-1 marks

Use the correct cutoff: Check the official cutoff PDF of your own regional RRB. A cutoff from another railway region should not be used to decide your qualifying status.

Minimum Qualifying Marks vs Actual Cutoff

The basic qualifying percentages prescribed in CEN 07/2025 are not the same as the merit cutoff for CBT-2 shortlisting.

Category

Minimum Qualifying Percentage

UR

40%

EWS

40%

OBC-NCL

30%

SC

30%

ST

25%

A two-mark relaxation in minimum eligibility marks can be given to PwBD candidates in case of shortage against reserved vacancies. The effective shortlisting cutoff can still be considerably higher because it is driven by merit and vacancy availability.

Why Normalized Marks Matter

CBT-1 was conducted over multiple shifts. RRB therefore uses normalized marks for shortlisting so candidates are assessed fairly even when question-paper difficulty varies slightly between sessions. This is why a raw-score comparison with a candidate from another shift may not accurately predict the final cutoff position.

How Many Candidates Are Shortlisted for CBT-2?

The official CEN provides for shortlisting at about 15 times the community-wise vacancies notified against the concerned RRB, based on CBT-1 merit. Railways can increase or decrease this limit when required to maintain an adequate pool of candidates.

The normal duration is 90 minutes. Each question carries one mark and one-third mark is deducted for every wrong answer. Eligible candidates using a scribe receive the extended duration prescribed by RRB.

What Happens After CBT-2?

The path after the second-stage exam depends on the post.

Accounts Clerk cum Typist and Junior Clerk cum Typist

These posts require a qualifying Computer Based Typing Skill Test. The notified speed is 30 WPM in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on computer.

Commercial Cum Ticket Clerk and Trains Clerk

These posts do not carry the same typing-test requirement. Further shortlisting proceeds according to CBT-2 merit and the prescribed document-verification and medical stages.

If Your Roll Number Is Not in the PDF

First confirm that you opened the result for CEN 07/2025 Undergraduate and for the RRB chosen in your application. Several NTPC recruitment cycles are active, so opening an older CEN result can cause confusion.

If the correct PDF still does not contain your roll number, check the individual scorecard when it becomes available and compare your marks with the official cutoff of your RRB/category.

What Qualified Candidates Should Do Now

  • Save the CBT-1 result PDF.

  • Check the individual marks after scorecard activation.

  • Download the cutoff PDF issued by your RRB.

  • Begin CBT-2 preparation immediately.

  • Keep registration and login details ready.

  • Watch for the CBT-2 city-slip and e-call-letter notice.

  • Typing-post candidates should begin daily keyboard practice now.

Final Guidance

The useful way to read the RRB NTPC 10+2 UG Result 2026 is to separate the result PDF, cutoff PDF and scorecard. The result tells you whether you are shortlisted, the regional cutoff shows the merit threshold applicable to your category/post, and the scorecard shows your own performance.

If you have qualified, shift your attention to the 17 September CBT-2. With a short gap between result and exam, focused preparation is more valuable than repeatedly comparing unofficial expected-cutoff lists.
