What Is UPSSSC PET?

UPSSSC PET stands for Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission Preliminary Eligibility Test.

It is a preliminary screening examination used for various recruitments conducted by UPSSSC. Candidates may be required to possess a valid PET score before applying for the main examination of posts such as:

  • Lekhpal

  • Junior Assistant

  • Village Development Officer

  • Various other UPSSSC Group C posts

PET itself is not a recruitment for a fixed number of vacancies. This is why no total vacancy count is mentioned for the PET examination.

After obtaining a PET score, candidates must separately apply for relevant recruitment notifications. Eligibility for each recruitment will depend on the PET score, educational qualification, age limit and other post-specific conditions.
